POSITION: Project Manager

STATUS: Full Time, Year Round.

BENEFITS: Strong pay and bonus potential.

SUMMARY: The Project Manager plays a vital role in overseeing and managing construction projects from initiation to completion. The Project Manager is responsible for collaborating with Engineers, Architects, and supervisors to develop plans, create project timelines, allocate resources effectively and ensure timely completion. Additionally, this position must ensure that the project is completed within the set budget, is within the scope, and the project delivers the expected results and benefits. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

· Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously;

· Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays;

· Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings;

· Must have thorough understanding of the Construction Industry and equipment including safe operating practices;

· Organizational skills and attention to detail must be a natural talent;

· Excellent analysis, negotiation, and problem-solving skills;

· Ability to amicably resolve conflicts or misunderstandings;

· Excellent time management, prioritization, and delegation skills;

· Superior written and verbal communication skills;

· Proven ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion;

· Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with other employees and organizations;

· Must enjoy engaging in a team environment and be an outgoing individual;

· Proficient with MS Office, including Word and Excel;

· Thorough knowledge of modern office equipment, including multi-phone lines systems, fax, copier, and scanner, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

· Determine the scope of work and collaborate with engineers, architects, subcontractor, construction field workers, and office staff;

· Responsible for visiting client sites ensuring performance, safety and quality standards are met and the efficiency of work is maximized;

· Assist in preparing budget and cost estimates, along with work timelines;

· Support estimating teams in the design, scheduling, and material specification for project proposals;

· Plan, direct, assign and coordinate schedule of teams for projects;

· Supervise all purchasing and delivery of project materials;

· Coordinate with clients to ensure appropriate customer awareness;

· Report project progress to clients and office staff;

· Responsible for providing all relevant documentation for the entire project cycle including progress reports to ensure internal and external reporting deadlines are met;

· Assists in choosing subcontractors and delegates their responsibilities;

· Responsible for any delays, emergencies and problems that may arise;

· Responsible for obtaining the necessary permits to build in the appropriate communities and understand local, state, and federal construction regulations;

· Comply with all safety and building code as well as legal requirements;

· Ability to explain contract and technical matter to others in a clear manner;

· Assists in the development of policies and procedures;

· Evaluate personnel, conduct performance reviews and assists in hiring decisions;

· Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, and/or stretching.

· Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time.

· May require travel.

· Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.

· Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather and other issues on the jobsite.

ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

· Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work. Previous experience as a Project Manager is preferred.

· Recent college graduates from a Construction Management program are encouraged to apply.
